Decode: Versatile and Customized Tech Sling

Hello NIID backers,  

Our campaign broke $100,000 Holy wow!  

FIRST OFF, THANK YOU!   

Thank you for helping bring the third generation of NIID bags to life. It’s your support, constant feedback and suggestions that have shaped the products we just launched. We're incredibly lucky and grateful to be in this position, and you all are the best damn customers we could ever ask for. Your support allows us to continue marching forward. Your feedback steers the direction we march. And, your enthusiasm and passion makes us stoked to come to work every day. So, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! 

What follows are the next steps for the Tech Sling..as well as some inside information about where things stand. 

1. BEGIN PRODUCTION

The end of the campaign is just the beginning. In order to deliver the Tech Sling in time to all backers, we have ordered enough raw materials to produce 1,500 backpacks so that we could begin mass production immediately. Everything is going along swimmingly

 2. ESTIMATE DATE OF SHIPPING  

We are currently in contact with some logistics companies to double back on our promise to ensure that our backers will receive the tech sling on time – by the end of December and the end of January. This has been our promise all along and we intend to keep it. 

 3.STRETCH GOAL #1

 As promised, if we reached $100,000 we would unlock stretch goal #1 – a magnetic fidlock. We purchased a large number of magnetic fidlock for mass production. We're making them. Right now. As we type. Production is in full swing!

We Are Listening - About The Tripod & 2nd Divider

Hello NIIDers

We are here to keep you posted on what we are up with these days, you speak and we listen!

As many of you are asking for a new design for holding a tripod, we’ve put forth our best effort to test this with our manufacturers and see if it is possible. We would be ecstatic if we can meet so many of your wants by adding this feature to the bag. Adding the tripod design may add up the cost of the bag, which is why we need further consideration. Finally, we added the design for holding a tripod:

Hello backers,

This is a quick update.

We wanted to tell you a bit about the quality of materials that we are planning to use for the Decode bag. We gathered feedback from backers in our last project and looked for new and better fabric this time around. The new material we’ve sourced is water-repellent and more durable. We’ve also put forth our best effort to test these materials with our manufacturers, as many of you are asking what the material of the Tech sling will be. This is a video of a tension test. The fabric is capable of withstanding approximately 100 KG.  

And in others news… 

Our Tech Sling was featured in Condé Nast Traveller and GQ! We are ecstatic about this. Thank you so much for your promotions on social media, as well as your all-around support!

Our campaign is $75,816.00 funded now, we still want to do our absolute best to reach the first stretch goal at $100,000. Please help us spread the word about the Decode Tech Sling. Let’s make it happen!

1st Stretch Goal

Hello NIID Backers!

Wow, amazing! It's been a very productive week, and the support keeps rolling in! 

First, thank you. Thank you so much for helping us reach our goal! Decode by NIID was 100% funded within 1 hour. We are absolutely stunned. And now, our campaign is $39,382.00 funded! Awesome. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to give our thanks. 

Again, we haven’t stopped working these days, and are busy to make our Decode better. And we did it. We’d love to announce that we set our first stretch goal at $100,000 to change the sternum strap buckle into a magnetic Fidlock. This design allows you to quickly put on and release. Obviously adding a magnetic Fidlock will raise up our cost for the mass production is that it is imported from another county. But we would not increase the pledge amount. Let’s make it happen!
